I think this is important because he has to remember about the Soul of the World. He has to remember that, in the desert, it has it's own things for him to learn and not that he is teaching the desert.

Quote Conversation #2

"Never stop dreaming" ~The Old King (Pg. 62)

If I was going to state my opinion I would say that this quote is very inspirational. It tells peple to dream, eventhough it may be ridiculous.

Hero's Journey Connection

1) Revelation
2) Santiago gets stuck working in a crystal shop for an unexpected amount of time. He eventually joins a caravan that will take him on a difficult journey across the desert. 
Santiago understands what he must do to achieve his goal and begins to believe in himself and works twords his success. 
3) In the revelation, the initiate changes from his oldself to a new person and make a different path. He decides to work at the crystal shop to go back to Andalusia and buy a bigger flock of sheep because he has given up on his dream of being a shepherd.
