"Personal Legend"

"a stranger in a stranger's land" ~The Elder (pg.107)

I think this is important because he has to remember about the Soul of the World. He has to remember that, in the desert, it has it's own things for him to learn and not that he is teaching the desert.

What do you think about Santiago's Personal Ledgend and the Soul of the World?

  1. Hmmm...what DOES the "Soul of the World" have to do with his Personal Legend? I think you are getting at the idea that if he doesn't listen to the desert and things around him, he won't learn, and that is what it takes to achieve his personal legend--listening, learning, and action. I think we can learn somethings from this...if we listen :)
